About Hudson Digital Organs

Sound Advice. Sound Solutions.

Hudson Digital Organs is a musician-led consulting, rental, installation, and sales company specializing in digital and virtual pipe organ systems for churches, institutions, concert organizations, and organists throughout the Northeast.

Founded by concert organist Eddie Zheng, Hudson was created to bridge a gap that exists throughout the organ world. Organists, churches, technicians, builders, and dealers often approach instruments from very different perspectives, leaving many organizations without clear guidance when evaluating digital organ projects. Hudson was established to connect those worlds and provide practical expertise rooted in both musicianship and real-world experience.

The company grew from a simple observation: many churches were receiving digital organs that were poorly planned, poorly installed, or poorly suited to their musical needs. At the same time, countless organists struggled to access affordable practice instruments, historic organs were being discarded unnecessarily, and many of the most advanced technologies in the organ world remained inaccessible to the people who could benefit from them most.

Hudson exists to simplify that landscape.

Whether helping a church evaluate replacement options, providing a temporary instrument during a renovation, designing a turnkey Hauptwerk system, sourcing a used organ, or delivering an instrument to a concert venue that has never hosted organ music before, Hudson focuses on finding the right solution for each project.

By combining consulting, rentals, technical expertise, installation services, and long-term support, Hudson provides both the knowledge and infrastructure needed to execute successful digital organ projects. From a fleet of high-quality Hauptwerk rental instruments to turnkey church installations and independent project guidance, Hudson supports clients at every stage of an instrument's life.

Hudson Digital Organs is the official Content Organs representative for New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. While Content instruments form an important part of our work, Hudson remains manufacturer-independent in its consulting approach, helping clients evaluate new instruments, used organs, Hauptwerk systems, rentals, and other solutions based on the needs of each project.

Every project begins with understanding the musical goals, practical requirements, and budget of the client. Sometimes the right solution is a new instrument. Sometimes it is a used organ, a rental, a Hauptwerk system, or simply expert advice. The objective is not to sell a particular product, but to help clients make informed decisions and achieve successful outcomes.

Today, Hudson serves churches, schools, universities, concert presenters, performing arts organizations, and organists throughout the Northeast. In addition to installations and consulting, Hudson has provided organs and technical services for organizations including New York City Ballet, Orchestra of St. Luke's, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, Cerddorion Vocal Ensemble, and numerous churches and institutions across the region.

At its core, Hudson Digital Organs exists to make great organ experiences more accessible. Whether through a church installation, a concert rental, a practice instrument, a restored organ, or a custom virtual pipe organ system, Hudson helps connect musicians, institutions, technology, and expertise to bring organ music to new spaces and new audiences.

By combining the perspective of an active organist with technical expertise, project management, and hands-on field experience, Hudson helps clients navigate an increasingly complex organ landscape with confidence and clarity.
